Set in the heart of Morelia’s Centro Histórico, this Mexican restaurant offers a cozy, casual spot that stands out among the nearby upscale dining options. The atmosphere feels relaxed and approachable, with a handmade, almost DIY vibe to the decor that adds a local charm. Outdoor seating is plentiful, making it a pleasant choice for those who want to enjoy the lively street scene while dining.
Visitors often come for straightforward, honest Mexican dishes, including traditional plates like enchiladas Michoacán and molcajete servings meant to share. The food leans toward classic, comforting flavors rather than elaborate presentations, drawing in people looking for authentic meals at a reasonable price. There's also a good variety of beverages to complement the food, with a great selection of beer, cocktails, coffee, and desserts available throughout the day, whether brunch, lunch, or dinner.
The vibe tends to attract a diverse crowd—from solo diners and families with kids (thanks to the kids’ menu and high chairs) to groups of friends and tourists exploring the historic center. The service is attentive and friendly, often making guests feel well taken care of. Local musicians are often nearby, adding a subtle soundtrack to the meal without overwhelming conversation. While it’s generally a quiet and cozy space, the bustling nature of the area means you might notice passersby on the street during your visit.

4 Great food in the city center. This restaurant is interested because it is like good diner food next to a bunch of fancy restaurants here. The decor here is very almost like you did it yourself. I got the fish filet and it was delicious. The hamburger was like a diner hamburger. The staff here is very attentive. We had 2 or 3 waiters. Nothing was left unattended. I would come back for a quick meal.
5 Great atmosphere and great service. Local musicians always playing nearby. Great authentic food for a good price. Plenty of outdoor seating as well. Only issue is there are always people walking up to you trying to sell you something while you’re eating.
5 I fall in love with this place the enchiladas Michoacán are one of the best plate there. Super traditional. The service was top 10 Thank you will come back.
5 First time here everything was really good. We got the molcajete it is enough for 2 people. The house salad is really delicious too.
5 This is our go to place when we visit Morelia. We have our Sunday family dinner before we go back home. Juan Alegre has been our server since day 1. The food was great as always. The service was excellent Juan always takes care of us. Ambiance was great. My family and I really enjoyed this place
4 The food was pretty good, nice size portions. Was disappointed with my michelada traditional, it tasted like a bloody Mary with beer, and had a celery stick in it.
5 Food was extremely good. Service was excellent and Patricia, Arely very good waitress and professional. Highly recommended for everyone
5 Excellent option for breakfast or lunch, good prices and dishes are generous!
